The annual picnic of the New Bern Civitan Club took place on May 10th at Lawson Creek Park Pavilion, with Renee Salvatore and Susie Bare serving as hosts. Fat Fellas of Havelock catered the event, offering a spread of BBQ pork, chicken, beans, cole slaw, potato salad, hush puppies, rolls, and iced tea. Desserts were provided by Renee Salvatore and Judy Lopez.
A highlight of the day was the lively entertainment by Van Rice’s band, Biscuits N Gravy, which had many attendees dancing and singing along. The event saw an impressive turnout, with over thirty people in attendance.
