Donations Delivered To Boys and Girls Homes Of NC

On May 4th, the Boys and Girls Homes of NC at Lake Waccamaw marked Civitan Cottage Day with an outpouring of support from NBCC members. Generosity flowed in the form of both monetary contributions and thoughtful gifts.

These donations ranged from essential supplies for new foster children entering the program to much-needed baby items directly benefiting the Civitan Cottage, which provides a nurturing environment for teenage mothers and their babies.

New Bern Civitan Club members Dennis Pymm, Judy Lopez, and Randy King embarked on a journey to deliver these heartfelt offerings to the Homes. Their visit extended beyond mere donation drop-off; they took the opportunity to explore the facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the vital work being done. Sharing a meal with fellow Civitans, staff, alumni, and residents further enriched their experience, fostering connections and camaraderie.

This visit wasn’t just about giving—it was about learning, connecting, and uplifting spirits. Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate the prospect of a larger contingent from our Club participating in next year’s Open House, continuing our tradition of support and solidarity with the Boys and Girls Homes of NC.
