Our meeting on May 22, 2025, was a busy one. Our 2025 New Bern High School Scholarship winners Christopher Behrendt, Diamond Dade, Makenzie Richardson and their families attended the meeting and shared with our members their gratitude for the scholarship and what their future college plans are.
Christopher will be attending the University of Mount Olive, majoring in Veterinary Bioscience and Biology. Diamond is headed to NC Agricultural and Technical State University, majoring in Criminal Psychology. Makenzie is headed for Campbell University, working towards a degree in Special Education.
Each Senior received $1,000 to use toward their further education. Thank you to our scholarship committee chair Amy Willis, and Jim Comer, for screening the applicants and making an extremely hard decision on selecting these recipients among the very qualified other applicants.
