New Bern Civitan Club members and Rotary Club of New Bern volunteers did a Community Service Day on September 15th at Craven County Habitat for Humanity. They worked on building a shed and rebuilt some scaffold platforms. This joint effort of both organizations helped Habitat with ongoing projects meant to provide needed housing for people in our community.
Future and similar Community Service Days will be scheduled in hopes that more Craven County organizations might take the opportunity to assist in needed projects designed to help local residents.
