Picnic/Game Day – A Great Success

A picnic and game day for residents of Monarch and RHA Health Services was held on May 2 at Lawson Creek Park. Betty and Gary Todd chaired the event and with the help of many club members about one hundred facility residents and their aides were treated to corn hole and bocci ball games provided by Craven County Recreation Services for Special Olympics.

Assistance was also provided by students from Epiphany Academy. Hot dogs and trimmings rounded out the picnic. Many of the residents enjoyed being outdoors on a beautiful spring day.

The picture above shows several of the volunteers from Epiphany on a break from their “game” duties.
