Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser a Success

After a four-year hiatus, the New Bern Civitan Club Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser is back and was a remarkable success. Held on March 23 at the Rhems Firehouse and chaired by Eileen Buscemi, over one hundred local patrons were served a delicious spread of pasta, meatballs, salad, bread, soft drinks, and desserts. There was lively entertainment by the local band Biscuits and Gravy.

Numerous Civitan members generously volunteered their time and energy to make this a success. The Junior Civitan Club from New Bern High School contributed by providing dedicated waitstaff assistance.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Rhems Firehouse, Paula’s Restaurant, Moore’s House of BBQ, Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Piggly Wiggly on Simmons St., and Cotton Funeral Home for their generous donations and unwavering support, alongside the donations of many Club members.

We raised over $1400, which will be added to our Charity Budget for the 2024-25 year. Thanks to all who supported our efforts.
