New Bern Civitan Club members Dennis Pymm and Mary Traina represented the Club at National Night Out on September 29th at Union Point Park.
National Night Out is an annual community-building event that encourages partnerships between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve. It offers neighbors and local officials a relaxed, welcoming place to meet and connect.
The event also gave Dennis and Mary a chance to tell community members about the New Bern Civitan Club: its mission, its many community projects, and ways to get involved. They enjoyed speaking with visitors and sharing how the Club serves New Bern.
Curious about Civitan? Visitors are welcome to join us for lunch at Paula’s Restaurant on the second Friday of each month at 11:30 a.m. or the fourth Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Come meet our members and see how volunteering in your community can make a difference.
